The main reason that i made this review is that i know a lot of people are searching for good and reliable reviews. Before i bought the Bowflex Ultimate 2 myself, i did tons of researched and found it difficult to find any good reviews. Yes, the Bowflex Ultimate 2 is really improved in comparison with the Bowflex Ultimate. It is Bowflex's best-selling product and that is no surprise. The Bowflex Ultimate were 4 versions and are nowhere if you comparise them all with the Bowflex Ultimate 2. I will sum up the new and improved features on the Bowflex Ultimate 2:

• A refreshing workout DVD with a 20-minute exercise routine.

• The Preacher Curl Attachment.

• A changed warranty from 10 to 12 years on material and workmanship.

• New design that really meets the eye.

A big improvement in comparison with the predecessor. The Bowflex Ultimate was a good home gym for it's time but the Bowflex Ultimate 2 is actually better!

To understand what the Bowflex Ultimate 2 is you have to look at all it's features and decide if this machine can reach the goals you have set. Do you want a lot of attention and looks you will get from rock hard muscles busting out of your shirt? Do you want to get your perfect figure in a short time? Do you want something that really works? The Bowflex Ultimate 2 can do that. I will review all features of the Bowflex Ultimate 2 briefly so you will know what it can do and why the Bowflex Ultimate 2 is so good.

• It standard has 310 lbs. of Power Rod Resistance, this is upgradeable to 410 lbs. and that is what you should do. When you are a beginner, you can handle the 310 lbs. but after a few months your muscles needs more resistance. The 410 lbs. should do the trick and you can do all exercises a long time with this amount of resistance.
• The No-Change Cable Pulley System was introduced on the Bowflex Ultimate and it still is a delight to have. You can switch exercises if you have multiple machines in one room. The Bowflex Ultimate 2 is just all those machines in one. Very fast and easy to work with.
• Also introduced and on the Bowflex Ultimate and still on the Bowflex Ultimate2 is the built in cardio rowing machine. Start your workout with a 10 minute warming up or cool down with the rowing machine. Warming up, cooling down or just the exercise rowing are also used at the gym and are proven to burn a lot of calories.
• The Leg Extension/Leg Curl Attachment and Preacher Curl Attachment (new) are there to give you all the leg muscles and biceps muscles you want. There a plenty exercises with these nice features!

• The five way hand grip and ankle cuffs make sure you have a flexibel and comfortable training.
• The Lat Tower with Angled Lat Bar is perfect to work your upper body with.

• It is foldable and therefor a spacesaver. Most home gyms are big and in the way. The Bowflex Ultimate II has a great design and when folding it you can roll it to the place you want it to store.

The main features of the Bowflex Ultimate 2 have been outstanding so far. The cons of the Bowflex Ultimate 2 Gym are in my opinion that the upgrade to 410 lbs Power Rod Resistance is not standard with the machine. You almost would expect that from a machine that have it all. This way it is just an extra cost. Another thing is that the machine folds and rolls but is a heavy and not easily rollable over a carpet. For some women this could be a problem. The last con i have found on this machine is that in my opinion the machine mat is also something that must be included with the purchase price of the home gym. A big pro for the Bowflex manufacturers is that they extended the warranty on the Bowflex Ultimate 2. It haves a 12 years warranty on workmanship and materials. A manufacturer would only give such good warranties if they know they have built a machine that lasts and that is exactly what the Bowflex Ultimate 2 is.

The Bowflex Ultimate 2 is not really a good name for something that is so much better in comparison with it's predecessor. It actually earn to have a whole new name. Bowflex Superior would be nice. As you can tell my skeptical mindset that i had before using this machine changed in loving this home gym. I would recommend the Bowflex Ultimate 2 to everybody. If you really want something that works and get you back into shape the Bowflex Ultimate 2 is excellent for that.
